"Stadtrand" is unique in the way its sound is created.I found this sweet shabby bird in the sandy dirts of a fleamarket. Later I realised that if I turn the blue belly the wood and the nail - holding the bird together - can make a variety of screeching noises. It sounds almost real.
Under the foot of the bird is a mikrophone. The sound picked up by the mikrophone is amplified and fed into a simple digital delay, made from a DIY-kit.
The case is made of an oilpainting.
