Nikolas Neecke, geboren 1973 in Freiburg i. Br., aufgewachsen in Basel und heute wohnhaft in Berlin.
Studierte an der Schule für Gestaltung Basel (1993-1995) und Audio Design bei Wolfgang Heiniger und Thomas Kessler an der Hochschule für Musik Basel (1995 - 2000).
Seither als freischaffender Musiker, Sound Designer und Komponist in den Bereichen Bühne, Film und Sound Art international tätig.
Bühnenmusik und Sound Design für diverse Theaterformen.
Langjährige Zusammenarbeit mit bekannten Regisseuren sowie Teil der Freien Szene.
Kontemporäre, konzertante Vertonung von Stummfilmen,
Konzeption und Realisation begehbarer, interaktiver Klanginstallationen und Sound-Spiel-Objekte unter den Labels SONOgames und Useful_Updates.
Zusammenarbeit mit Schulen in Form von Workshops und öffentlichen Wochenendkursen für elektronische Klangobjekte und Instrumente sowie Sound Design.
Bildet zusammen mit Asako Fujimoto die Band "unauthorized sunset".
In den frühen 2000er Jahren Teil des Kunstkollektivs Videoorchester.

Nikolas Neecke, born in 1973 in Freiburg i. Br., grew up in Basel and now lives in Berlin.
